Since I am now retired with a lot of time to read and study, I am attempting to better understand the bible!  Regrettably, my engineering degree had no studies of the scriptures.  The problem with an engineering degree is that engineering teaches a person to make all decisions based on "facts"... the bible has "gray" areas; and is sometimes difficult to understand!!!  I have been a church member all my life (from "cradle roll" to now at age 90) and have a lot to learn about what the bible says! 

At a very popular website www.bible.com you can read many different bible versions!  When you read our study entitled "What Bible Version Should I Study?" you will see why I originally selected the "NASB" version as the primary version for these studies... however, even tho I believe the "NASB" version is the most accurate translation, the "ESV" version "mostly" says the same thing in easier to understand English!  So... scriptures quoted in these studies are from the "ESV" version!

As you study the singular scriptures quoted in the studies listed, the singular scriptures can sometimes be better understood by reading the entire chapter or chapters surrounding the individual scriptures quoted... the purpose of these studies is to create a discussion of many individual subjects... the listings will grow as time goes on.  Click on any study underlined on the "home Page" to be taken to that page.  Also, many of the subjects are related... so, sometimes one subject will add information about a similar subject!

As discussed above, I study the bible but I am not a biblical scholar and not an expert in bible interpretation... the views on this website are my personal views... my views are presented as a "place to start" your own study... you are free to disagree and encouraged to voice your beliefs to my email as shown on the home page --- your comments or questions may be published using your initials to respond...AND, if you have a special subject that you would like studied, please tell me and it will be added to the list of subjects to be studied!  This website seems to be of general interest, since starting the website in 2021 the website has had over 29,000 hits (2021-8740, 2022-9202, 2023-7912, 2024-3620 so far).

In general, each study discussed will follow a similar procedure... 1st - quotation of relevant scriptures, 2nd - discussion thoughts, 3rd - conclusions (my beliefs).  Many scholars, ministers, and laymen have different conclusions... my general view is that each of us must do our best to interpret the scriptures in a way that makes sense to us... the problem is that some Bible scriptures are far above the ability of us mortals to fully understand... what we must do is to accept on faith, that God will help us understand the scriptures, and that He has prepared a wonderful place in Heaven (Paradise) for all believers!
